When Hurricane Ian hit the Marco Island area, the Storm Team from SERVPRO of Mt. Pleasant, Clare and Houghton Lake loaded up and headed south to help get homes dried out and cleaned up from the storm surge. Storm surge from Hurricane Ian not only caused water damage, it also caused issues with electrical issues with vehicles and golf carts. When the surge came through the Hidden Valley neighborhood on Marco Island it caused the vehicles to stop working and some golf cart batteries to start fires. The team from SERVPRO was prepared with the latest equipment and techniques for flood damage, we were also prepared for whatever else could happen. Not only did we get the residents back into their homes after the surge, we were able to take care of those who had fire damage on top of water damage. The homeowner association did a great job of having a plan put in place for its residents and it helped get us in quick and homeowners back into their homes within a week.
